Eriez® announces that Andersen's Sales and Salvage of Greeley, Colorado, placed the winning bid for a me tal Loss Monitor (MLM) Eriez donated to the 2018 Recycling Research Foundation (RRF) Silent Auction. The auction was held in conjunction with this year's Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries (ISRI) conference and exposition which took place April 16-18 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The RRF is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization closely associated with ISRI. As described on the ISRI website, the RRF's mission is to promote the art and science of scrap processing and recycling through research, sponsorships, technical assistance and educational programs for the purpose of advancing the industry.
Eriez President and CEO Tim Shuttleworth explains that the company did not hesitate to donate the MLM to the 2018 RRF Silent Auction. He says, “Eriez believes wholeheartedly in giving back. Our team is dedicated to making a lasting, positive impact on the communities where we operate and in the industries which we serve. We are proud our donation helps support the RRF and the important work it does for the recycling industry.” He adds, “We were thrilled to learn that Andersen's, an existing Eriez customer and leader in the field, placed the generous winning bid for the MLM.”
The Eriez me tal Loss Monitor continuously scans a scrap yard's residue stream for valuable me tal that escaped their process and is headed for landfill disposal. Positioned either upstream or downstream of the hand picking station, the MLM sends an alert when it detects a spike in me tal count, assisting operators in diagnosing and locating process breakdowns.
