Aurora, OH: Network Technologies Inc (NTI) today announced the addition of the VOPEX® 4K HDMI HDba se-T Splitter/Extender to its popular lines of Video Splitters and Point to Multi-Point Extenders. The splitter/extender simultaneously distributes uncompressed Ultra-HD 4Kx2K HDMI video, multi-channel audio, and IR from one video source to many displays and speakers via CAT5/5e/6 cables.
The VOPEX system consists of two components: the VOPEX-C64K10GB-4HDBT 4K HDMI HDba se-T broadcast unit, which connects to the HDMI source and supplies video to a local display; and an ST-C64K10GB-R-HDBT receiver for each remote 4K HDMI display and speakers. The units are interconnected by CAT5/5e/6 cable up to 230 feet away using HDba se-T technology. The ST-C64K10GB-R-HDBT receivers are powered by the VOPEX-C64K10GB-4HDBT, and do not require a power supply.
The 4K HDMI HDba se-T Splitter/Extender supports Ultra-HD 4Kx2K resolutions of 4096x2160 and 3840x2160 at 24Hz/30Hz/60Hz YUV 4:2:0, HDTV resolutions to 1080p, and computer resolutions to 1920x1200. It provides full IR control of HDMI sources or displays with forward or backward transport channels.
HDMI features supported include: 4:2:0 YUV; Dolby TrueHD, DTS-HD Master Audio, Dolby Digital, DTS 7.1 and LPCM; 3D; Bandwidth up to 10.2 Gbps; Support for CEC (consumer electronic control) compatible devices; and Lip Sync. The unit is HDCP 2.2/1.4 compliant and has a configurable built-in EDID table. The VOPEX splitter has a compact 1RU design and includes a mounting kit.
