Bridgeport, Connecticut - (IndustrialPR.net) The American Board of Accredited Certifications (ABAC™), the leading independent accreditation board in the United States, announced today the approval of Bridgeport-based The Plastic Factory (http://www.theplasticfactoryct.co) for ARM 9009-2013 certification. ARM 9009 is known as the nation's premium standard for the firearms and armoring industry, with certification considered by industry professionals to be necessary for quality-minded manufacturers, machine shops, fabricators and distributors of firearms and armoring systems.
Henry Kroger, spokesman for ABAC™ said The Plastic Factory has met all requirements for ARM 9009 certification, which according to Kroger is the most difficult quality registration to achieve because it focuses specifically on the complex and safety-critical firearms and armoring industry. "Being the first plastics distributor in the region to be approved for ARM 9009-2013 quality certification is a monumental achievement for The Plastic Factory, said Kroger. He added, "ARM 9009 is increasingly becoming a must-have certification for suppliers of metals, plastic and parts serving manufacturers of firearms and armoring systems," said Kroger.
The Plastic Factory was issued its ARM 9009 certification by Connecticut-based G-PMC Registrars, LLC (http://www.G-PMC.com), which is one of approximately 11 certification bodies accredited by the Industrial Leaders Group (ILG), and authorized by ABAC™ to issue ARM 9009 certificates. ABAC™ is currently accepting a limited number of applications from other manufacturers and distributors interested in entering or expanding into the vast and rapidly growing firearms and armoring industries by becoming ARM 9009-2012 certified at http://www.arm9009.com/apply.html
